Our History

Don Abraham "El Chino" Serrato, started his businesses in Ciudad Juarez in the early 1970's in the company of his wife Doña Andrea Serrato Romo and their children. Date on which Ay Cocula Restaurant start his eldest son Ignacio Serrato.


They are still following their traidicion through their grandchildren Ignacio Jr., Angel & Daniel Serrato.

 

Ay Cocula Restaurant is in a bright, spacious room painted with colorful images from reknowned Mexican TV Stars from the 'Golden Years', has a very comfortable sports bar.

It’s virtually impossible to tell the food apart, though.

 

Texas Monthly added the restaurant to its "Bucket List" of places to visit in the state before you die.

Our Specialty since the first day we open
are the exclusive “Six-Pack” Tacos

in a choice of two meats: Al Pastor (chile-spiked, smoky Pork lightly charred on a rotating spit) and Al Carbón (Beef hinting of a soy sauce marinade and cooked over mesquite).

They come on small, soft corn tortillas generously garnished with half an avocado, a radish or two, and grilled onions and jalapeños on the side!
