For the past decade the name DJ Blackwell has become synonymous with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in the Sun City. In 2003 DJ founded the Relson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu El Paso Assoc. with the help of longtime friend Master Paul Schroeder (of Kung Fu San Soo). They have sense succeeded there goal of enriching the El Paso area the art of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu.

Classically trained from the founders of the art, DJ has been training with team Relson Gracie for over 11 years, and holds a 4th Degree Brown Belt under Relson Gracie/Phil Cardella. In that time he was also fortunate enough to train with many of the worlds greatest Masters, and champions. Including the founder Grandmaster Helio Gracie himself.

Sense the arrival of team RGEP DJ has created many local champion competitors in all weight classes, and at many different skill levels. Ranging from sport GI Jiu-Jitsu, NOGI, and MMA. Under DJs leadership team RGEP has dominated many local and regional events.

Team Relson Gracie also has a strong foundation in not only sport techniques, but a rich history of effective street self defense. All members of the Relson Gracie Association are expected to be proficient in all aspects of GJJ.
